May the Spirit within us mean more to us than our race, culture, nationality, politics, economic status, and family distinctions that so often divide us. For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free and were made to drink of one Spirit. Whether we are Jewish or Greek, slave or free, God gave all of us one Spirit to drink. Think about the words in 1 Corinthians 12:12-13: For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body so also is Christ. We are committed to living as a people of God in the world. We are a caring, safe, welcoming and respectful community. Our Code of Conduct complies with the School Act. (1 Corinthians 12:13) Code of Conduct actions have an impact on others. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one bodywhether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or freeand have all been made to drink into one Spirit. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of his resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain - his Spirit - where we all come to drink. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which Jesus has the final say in everything.
